The Beachfront bar cafe has a unique location situated on one of New Zealand's finest beaches at Onetangi, Waiheke Island, just a 35 minute ferry ride from downtown Auckland.
The building dates back many years, originally it was a school then a dance hall and eventually a restaurant. Lynne and Alan Tyson bought the business just over a year ago and a major programme of refurbishment was undertaken, both inside and out, making it one of the island's premier locations, serving quality food at affordable prices.
You can either dine inside, sitting around the cosy log fire or on the elevated deck, gazing over the white sands with spectacular views to the Barrier Islands and watch the dolphins swim by.
Sunday the pace changes with live music where many of the island's top musicians come along and jam, creating a great atmosphere for all the family.
The Beachfront is a truly exceptional venue for all types of functions, from casual beachside dining to candlelit evening meals, weddings or birthday parties.
